From last couple of years I have been hearing lot about Auto Immune diseases. Never knew what it it is before. Based on the name I guessed fair bit of it when I started hearing. Now in Canada I started to see few people here suffering from Auto Immune diseases, it brought me more curiosity to learn & understand about situation.
Last weekend I & my daughter was having our time at Tim Horton. One lady stared at my daughter & started getting emotional. Conversation started & she shared she is suffering from Auto Immune. Family has disowned her because the problem. She is not allowed to see her son. This incident prompted me to know more about it.
What is Autoimmune Disease?
Our Immune system is a defence mechanism when something enters in to our body & if body feels it is harmful our immune system attacks on it with antibodies. Swelling, inflammation, Allergy are common response of immune system.
In Autoimmune disease immune system starts attacking its own tissues & damages tissues which can cause similar type of symptoms like swelling, inflation, allergy. n response to an unknown trigger, the immune system may begin producing antibodies that instead of fighting infections, attack the body’s own tissues.
There are at least 80 types of autoimmune diseases. Cause of Autoimmune usually stays unknown. One of the autoimmune disease Lupus usually runs in families & may be triggered by infection.Autoimmune patient goes with multiple difficulties in life. And in many cases social behaviour also gets affected.
7% of United Status population is suffering from Autoimmune,. Autoimmune is more commonly seen in women.
It would be really great if you can volunteer to organization which are supporting Autoimmune Diseases Patients.

I kind of having habit of relating everything with an “organizational” point of view. Usually we come across with situation where with no reason you start seeing some inorganic activity & your HR department starts diagnosing the situation. But what if it is an autoimmune disease triggered by an unknown reason?
There may be people in entrepreneurial world who are suffering from “autoimmune” kind of disease. With unknown reason they may attack on their well performing system & cause damage with no reason. Never know may be!
