Was travelling to Montreal by Via rail. Amazing Scenic Route. I went to canteen & asked for Hot Chocolate and Bagel. What happened next surprised me completely.
Lady took my order, gave me bagel. Asked for $6.25 & I gave her Creditcard. Now she started writing a receipt , I was just wondering what exactly she is doing & why she is not giving me a machine to tap my card.
Person behind me uttered word back in the time and laughed. I was still figuring out what she was doing. Actually she was writing a receipt then she took an imprint of my credit card on that receipt with an ancient method and took my sign as an approval of the transaction. Now this imprinted receipt with my credit card ll go to main centre and my card will be charged.
Lol Clearly it felt like we are back in 1960-70s. I even tried to take a photo of the entire process but Lady seemed upset about our comments.
Well that’s Canada. And in Canada Slow is Fast ( Strangely I am kind of agree in to this ideology)
